WE ASKED A QUESTION.
How can the The Arts Foundation partner with the City of Tucson and other public agencies to preserve and animate affordable spaces for arts and culture?
We leaned in to the question and engaged Artspace to assess three specific properties in Tucson to determine their viability to be developed as arts-based properties. The results of this study focused on recommendations for each property: the Julia Keen School, Tucson Performing Arts Center, and Dunbar. Read the full report here.
PHASE 2: We now aim to work more closely with City and County to bring together representatives from both private and public sectors to form a group that would equitably address the specific needs of publicly-owned facilities. The goal would be to:
- Take an inventory and assessment of public-owned facilities.
- Assess what needs we have in our community for space usage.
