Tucson World War II Memorial

A rammed earth sculptural wall includes bronze relief and 3D elements. The opening in the center of the wall, with a compass, blue glass, and bronze cone, serves as a metaphor for the global connection to the men who fought and died in the war. A hearth stone, in chocolate brown from an Arizona quarry, is set at the base of the wall, in front of names, to create a sacred space and allow the viewer to honor the men who passed.
