Tucson World War II Memorial

Artists Lauri Slenning and Rebecca Thompson created a vernacular structure composed of rammed earth, glass, bronze, and concrete to act as a memorial for fallen WWII soldiers who hailed from Tucson.

Working with rammed earth, glass, bronze, and concrete, artists Lauri Slenning and Rebecca Thompson created a space for folks to gather and pay tribute to fallen WWII soldiers from the city of Tucson. A large, bronze eagle sits perched atop a rammed ear wall, which holds the inscribed names of fallen soldiers.
