Meet our October Color Palette  Artist, Janny Taylor. An award-winning artist whose incredible work has been showcased in iconic galleries and museums, including MoMA (NYC) and the National Catholic Museum!

Featured in publications like The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and O, The Oprah Magazine, Janny’s artistry goes beyond the canvas. She’s also the author and illustrator of the critically acclaimed Our Lady of Weight Loss books and the cofounder of the Arizona Collage Coalition.

After studying at The Art Students League and Parsons School of Design in NYC, she’s been calling our beloved desert home since 2010, where she continues to inspire through her creative vision.

Janny Taylor’s nomadic upbringing, with frequent moves driven by her mother’s search for fresh color schemes, has deeply influenced her work, inspiring her to use dynamic, vivid color palettes that reflect the ever-changing spaces and memories of her past.

Born into a nomadic childhood, my early years were a constant dance of relocation, each move dictated by my mother’s insatiable quest for fresh color schemes and floor plans. Every three years, like clockwork, we moved. While I initially resisted this transient lifestyle, I’ve come to recognize these moves as an opportunity to reimagine our lives through the lens of a new floor plan and color palette. Consequently, all my memories are meticulously color-coded and filed away by house number, a vivid tapestry of hues and spaces that have painted the canvas of my identity.
