🎨Introducing our Color Palette of the Month artist,

Jacqueline Chanda!

Artwork Title: Remembering the Past.
“I generally select my color palette based on the image from which I am working. In this particular case, I was interested in portraying imagery of the past and the present in one composition. The past is portrayed in monochromatic colors and the present in more saturated hues. Generally, my palette leans toward muted colors. This allows me to put more emphasis on the focal point. It also helps me to create more color harmony.”
Jacqueline Chanda, born in Detroit MI, is now a full time artist living in Tucson, AZ. She received her undergraduate degree in painting and drawing from UCLA, holds graduate degrees from the Sorbonne University and studied at the National School of Fine Arts and the Academy de Porte Royale both located in Paris, France. She is a representational oil painter who loves to capture the beauty in the expressions and movements of common people doing everyday activities. Her repertoire of artwork, however, includes, imagery of animals such as horses and birds and landscapes paintings.
