About the Process

I am a flameworker, and create objects out of glass. I am using a torch to heat up part of the glass, so that I can blow it into a shape. In this image, I will be creating a blown flower. The glass I am using is borosilicate (or Pyrex).
I am blowing a "bubble". I am using a steel blowpipe very similar to the large blowpipes you have seen in the "Blown Away" series on Netflix. The glass I am blowing out is recycled wine bottle glass. I love creating works of beautiful jewelry out of discarded bottles.
