The Annual MAKE Youth Arts Festival
Annual MAKE Youth Arts Festival

The MAKE Youth Arts Festival was established in 2009 by Central School to honor and support  Youth Arts.  It has been held each year in the month of March at CSP to celebrate National Youth Arts Month. It is an all-day arts festival for children from age 3 to 18 which provides interactive, multicultural, and multidisciplinary arts experiences at no cost to area families. MAKE celebrates art created by young people, and exposes Bisbee and surrounding area youth to the diversity of the arts through quality activities devised and delivered by talented artists and crafts people of our region.

With our Visiting Artist Program and our Exhibitions Programming, Central School extends opportunity to artists in our city, our border community, and artists from as far away as PItsburgh PA. In 2023, Central School Project presented the work of two amazing trans-border artists: painter/printmaker Oscar Moya and artist photographer Ingrid Leyva. Both are currently based in El Paso and cd. Juarez. The narrative of their work is of resilience, straddling, crossing, and living at the southwest border. Bridges are integral to El Paso / cd. Juarez. and Mexican shoppers brings dignity and love with her portraits. These two artists can be bridges to reflection and understanding.
