Skeg Tas (Good Day)! My name is Harrison Preston. I am a member of the Tohono O’odham Nation of Southern Arizona and come from the community of San Xavier south of Tucson. I am most known as a basket-weaver and potter working in the traditional techniques utilized by the O’odham for time immemorial. In the work that I create I try to adhere to the traditions that have been taught to me by my teachers and the many O’odham artisans I have been fortunate to work with along the way. Aside from O'odham crafts I also create jewelry and Navajo style textiles when time permits.
