About lydia see

a serial collaborator, social weaver, practicing studio artist, and educator of students from early childhood through end of life;
a firm believer in the power of cultural access to transform lives;
a curator within and without formal exhibition spaces;
northern by birth, Appalachian by choice, and currently residing on the ancestral lands of the Tohono O'odham Nation and the Pascua Yaqui Tribe (Tucson, AZ) with partner Eli Blasko and their child.

Artist residencies include Penland School of Craft (Spruce Pine, NC), Elsewhere (Greensboro, NC), Peter Bullough Foundation (Winchester, VA), HUB-BUB (Spartanburg, SC), and Buncombe County Special Collections (Asheville, NC), and recent publications/features include the New York Times, Appalachian Journal, Southwest Contemporary, and several forthcoming books.
