Michelle Lichter

As a former screenwriter turned painter, I love to tell stories with my art. My current work features abstract mini portraits of curious human characters with their familiars, either objects or animals. I've also begun creating a menagerie of eclectic painted critters, both on paper and fired onto pottery.

The ceramic pieces are in collaboration with Terry of Loma Prieta Pottery.

Living in Tucson is a constant source of artistic motivation: the winters are absolutely beautiful, and the summers are so utterly appalling that there's nothing to be done except stay indoors and paint.
