Paper is my language. I fold, cut, and tear to express sorrow, hope, and human connection. My work seeks to turn fragile moments into shared experiences of beauty.
In an age of overabundant information, coffee-dyed newsprint explores how technology affects our lives and relationships. Inspired by childhood message-folding rituals, the series asks: Can you find, choose, and use the right message? It reflects on personal connection, the value of information, and the tactile experience of newspapers.
“Chal La,” means a fleeting moment in Korean that captures the energy of an instant—like something bursting into being. This work reflects on the overlooked fragments of daily life, inviting us to pause, remember, and feel gratitude for their hidden beauty. Through the vibrant dialogue of green and yellow, the piece holds the spirit of a moment too quick to grasp, yet powerful enough to transform awareness.
