In addition to its core Classical series, TSO presents special events, chamber music, movies with live orchestra, and concerts that celebrate Tucson’s Hispanic-Latino heritage. Under the direction of Music Director José Luis Gomez, the orchestra’s programming continues to grow in scope and diversity, honoring the region’s cultural identity alongside traditional repertoire. Each dynamic season attracts world-renowned guest artists and invites audiences of all ages and backgrounds to connect through music.
TSO’s education programs form a vital part of its mission, serving over 35,000 students and teachers annually. From early childhood through adult lifelong learning, these programs reach underserved, rural, and urban communities alike—nurturing the next generation of music lovers and ensuring broad access to high-quality arts education.
