Alters in the 5th District

Weatherbie performs “A Girl” monologue in Alters in the 5th District, Tucson Fringe Festival’s winner for Best Drama in 2020.  Alters was co- created with Gonzalez and Loving and was Weatherbie’s first major writing project. She also developed choreography for the interdisciplinary, multi-media performance ritual.

West Side Stories

“Pachuco” dancers move in Weatherbie’s West Side Stories, a series of short plays about the lives of West Tucsonans in the 1950’s and 1960’s.  Weatherbie was commissioned as a playwright and ethnographer in the Summer of 2021 to create plays based on interviews that captured this moment in history for Borderlands Theater’s  Barrio Stories Series.
