About the Artist

A long career in engineering led to many years working internationally, but having attended school at ASU, I never lost my appreciation for the Southwest and its culture. After retirement, I lived the next 17 years in Mexico, where I was finally able to pursue my passion for painting full-time and was fortunate to develop an international clientele for my work. I have been the guest artist in many art shows and galleries, including the Paris to Mexico Artist Exchange. Now living in Tucson, I am committed to creating culturally rich paintings that capture the essence of the region.

As a contemporary artist, I try new mediums and innovative techniques. I primarily use oils because of the brilliance of color they produce. The faces in the portraits I paint are said to possess a very special quality that evokes emotion in the viewer.

As an artist, I must create every day and most times I paint throughout the night as well. I have a small den converted to my studio, proving that small spaces can produce wonderful creative works. In order to continue to make my art affordable, I offer Giclee prints as well as originals.
