About the Artist
I am a Tucson based documentary photographer, a practice I approach as a combination of portraiture and landscape. I grew up in central Illinois and completed graduate study in both Economics and Business. I spent most of my adult life in the Chicago area. Over the course of a successful career working at the intersection of information technology, data, and machine learning, I became increasingly interested in ideas of visual storytelling and graphic design. In pursuit of these interests, I completed certifications in web development and graphic design. Intrigued by the way photographs use visual language to convey meaning and tell stories, I studied art and completed an MFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2024.My current project, Dawson 2022-2024, is a collection of contemporary and archival photographs all taken in and around the village of Dawson, Illinois.

How to Purchase
Framed and matted work will be available for purchase (cash or check) during AFT&SA Open Studios. Additionally I am happy to create custom prints (of most any size) of displayed images for subsequent delivery. Finally, I am happy to discuss commissions for portrait sessions or event photography.Pricing Range

About The Event
In my studio space I look to showcase my work as well as create an environment that fosters engagement with anyone interested in the issues reflected in the work. Selected photographs (framed and matted) will be available for purchase. Happy to discuss creating additional, custom prints from any of the other images as well as commissions for portraiture or event photography.
Easthive can be accessed off of either East 14th Street or East Timrod, west off of Wilmot Road (very near Park Place Mall). Parking is available in any of the lots on the Easthive property. My studio is on the 2nd level of the C building. In addition to outdoor stairs, access to the 2nd level is also provided by an elevator on the north side of the complex.
Refreshments and snacks will be available.
