About the Artist
I'm a Tucson-based artist who wears a lot of different hats—from psychotherapist to equestrian to dog mom. While I love every one of them, my deepest passion has always been creating art.I've been making art since I was a kid and have had many creative jobs along the way, including teaching art to middle and high school students and working as an art museum educator. But I never had the time to fully commit to my own work. Finally, I decided it was time to make a change. I turned my counseling office into a painting studio and dedicated myself to painting almost full-time.
My work is primarily abstract expressionism, and as you can probably tell, I'm drawn to bright colors. I paint from a place of intuition, following my gut and trusting my feelings in the moment rather than my thoughts. The goal is to capture a sense of flow—that feeling of being completely present and aware of both your inner and outer worlds. My paintings are the physical evidence of that experience.
