Day 1: Potter USA

Potter USA
Creative Medium: Metal

About the Artist

At Potter USA we craft handmade and hand-fabricated jewelry the old-fashioned way. We are a collection of four jewelry makers who specialize in a process called die-striking. We house the largest collection of antique and historical jewelry hubs and dies (molds) from around the world. We use these antique tools to craft modern jewelry with a timeless and historical elegance. Kevin Potter was trained as a goldsmith and made jewelry for local Tucson jewelry shops for many years. Vincent Potter is Kevin's son and is training to be a goldsmith. Vincent recently graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in Printmaking. Kaitlyn Agelastos is an apprentice jeweler and is learning the craft while also running industrial presses at Potter USA. Lynette Andreasen has a bachelors and masters degree of fine arts in metalsmithing and makes hand-fabricated jewelry as well as teaches silversmithing classes in the community.
