About the Artist
Carly Langman, originally from Australia, has called Tucson home for nearly 20 years and been deeply inspired by the resilience and beauty of the Sonoran Desert. A born gardener, forager and maker, she often lamented the fleeting impermanence of so many botanical elements. When introduced to resin in 2024, she immediately recognized its potential to preserve and honor fragile botanicals that would otherwise be too delicate or ephemeral to use in any practical way. She began experimenting with resin and plant materials later that year, and by 2025 was selling her designs at local markets under the name Harvested Creations.
This year she has continued to develop preservation and crafting techniques that allow her to transform flower petals, seeds, leaves, pods, bark, fibers and fruits into wearable art and practical gifts. Each piece showcases the colors, textures, and patterns of nature that often go unnoticed in our busy lives. Through her practice, she aims to transform these materials into art that sparks connection, wonder, and a renewed sense of amazement for nature in all its forms.
