About the Artist
RANDINE WESTLUNDRandine Westlund is an oil painter in Tucson, Arizona. She paints land, water and skyscapes because she cannot stop.
Originally from Santa Monica, California, she attended UCLA Extension and Otis College of Design and was active in the arts in the Pasadena, CA area before moving to Tucson in 2013.
Her abstracted land, water and skyscapes have roots in naturalism and expressionism with dynamic relationships between form and color.
Her most influential art heroes are Richard Diebenkorn, Joan Eardley, Manny Farber, Rick Bartow, Wolf Kahn, Susan Rothenberg and Edgar Degas.
Randine's work is in collections in California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Arizona, Texas, Georgia, South Carolina, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio, New York, Vermont, Hawaii and Scotland.
Randine has been a juried member of the Pasadena Society of Artists, Women Painters West, The Angeles Crest Art Guild and the Southern Arizona Arts Guild.
