About the Process

As far as my "process'', In short it depends greatly on the type of project I'm taking on. I don't really care to think of what I do as being formulated into a set process. I will certainly go about working on a painting on canvas differently than a collage piece or a wood assemblage or a mixed media piece. The majority of my abstract paintings are done on canvas where as most collage work is done on canvas board or paper and occasionally panel. Most mixed media assemblage work is generally done on panel. My paintings on canvas are mostly acrylic with very few exceptions in oil. The collage work is all hand made. I would mostly describe my collage efforts as basic cut and paste. I do not work in digital collage or nft's which honestly escape me............ As far as product, I have used a "yes" paste for years. The mixed media work can vary greatly with the use of assorted found objects and various coatings which may include stains, paint and assorted coatings. Most of the time I allow the work to flow hopefully in a positive direction with the possibility of a theme showing itself that was unknown to me as well as a title.
