The Fall Open Studio Tours is one of the largest self-guided tours of artist studios and creative work spaces in the region. Taking place over two weekends in November, it showcases artists, musicians, and other creatives who have working studio spaces to open to the public. Presented by Arts Foundation for Tucson and Southern Arizona (formerly TPAC) for more than a decade, Open Studio Tours supports and promotes local artists who work and exhibit in Tucson and Pima County in order to strengthen our shared cultural community.
Among Arts Foundation’s organizational goals are to advance artistic expression, civic participation, and equitable economic growth of our diverse community, and to support the arts in the community beyond funding to meet a need identified by community members. Open Studio Tours help the Arts Foundation to fulfill these aspects of our goals by supporting increased professional and marketing capacity for artists, helping to increase the financial sustainability of working artists beyond our traditional grant-making, and increasing the participation of artists with the broader community.
Through Open Studio Tours, Pima County’s artists can invite visitors into their working studios, free-of-charge, to directly engage with working artists and to learn more about the artistic process.
