The Arts Foundation welcomes Logan Greene, musician and founding member of Groundworks Tucson, as a new member for the Public Art and Community Design Committee (PACDC). As Greene steps into his new role, he explains his interest behind joining a Committee that takes on decisions regarding Tucson’s Public Art Program.
Sadie Shaw (SS): Why did you join PACDC?
Logan Greene (LG): My entire career has been dedicated to making a positive impact on Tucson’s creative community and joining PACDC felt like a natural progression in contributing to Tucson’s artistic landscape, even if it’s in an administrative capacity.
SS: What are your hopes for the future of Tucson’s Public Art landscape?
LG: My ulterior motive in joining is to encourage even more creative and interesting murals around Tucson (while I do love saguaros, I would love to see some other mural subjects represented around town as well!).

Logan is a musician and youth music educator. Born and raised in Tucson, he is passionate about fostering all-ages, DIY art and music and arts opportunities in the city to help young people feel safe and supported. Logan has been involved in music his entire life, and loves all aspects of the community. He has helped run and book for venues in Tucson, and has toured all over — 48 contiguous states (and Hawaii to make it 49) plus 10 countries, and counting! As a founding member of Groundworks Tucson, a youth arts nonprofit, he is excited to build community through the arts for people of all ages.
