Drachman-Agua Caliente Regional Park

Branch-like forms act as frames for interpretive signage along a pedestrian trail in the park.

Artist(s): Kevin Osborn

Kevin Osborn, Drachman-Agua Caliente Regional Park, 1997.

Artist Kevin Osborn designed sinuous branch-like forms which appear to grow from the ground and wrap around frames for interpretive signage, at four locations on the pedestrian trail through the park. The rectangular steel frames in which the interpretive materials are enclosed, are held in place by the four steel branches which appear to embrace the frames. What appear to be four twisted small tree branches give the sign standards stability and keep them from intruding into the outdoor environment.
