Earth, Fire, Air and Water

These sculptures are designed to both integrate well with the already designed aspects of the project and stand on their own. I created a sculptural work to offer an interesting visual for motorists and pedestrians as they transverse the intersection.

Herb Stratford, Earth, Fire, Air and Water, 2001.

Made of metal and cast concrete, artist Herb Stratford created columns topped with metal crowns meant to move along with the wind. Each metal component contains cut outs that symbolize earth, fire, air, and water.
