Sun Circle

Sun Circle is a ceremonial structure for observing the patterns of the suns movement along the horizon over the course of the year. "Sun Circle" connects people who live here now with the people who lived in this region a thousand years ago and used solar patterns as a calendar. "Sun Circle" connects modern Tucsonans with two disciplines important to the intellectual life of this community: archaeology and astronomy. It connects us with the sky.
