About the Artist
Andrea Mendola is a life-long artist who is strongly influenced by her German-immigrant father, a professional photographer. It is alongside him, she learned keen observational skills, a strong sense of composition, and an appreciation for the human form. It is these skills she brings to her work as a painter and drawer. At the age of 12, Andrea developed a strong interest in portraiture, her true passion, along with figure work. Raised in the desert southwest, Andrea has called Tucson home since the mid-1980's. It is here she is drawn to the natural beauty, which is reflected in her paintings and drawings of the natural flora of the region.
