About the Art

About the Process

What I love about painting is using creativity to explore my interests. My background in science boosts my understanding and appreciation of the world around me, and my art helps me share those feelings with others. I mostly paint in oils, but also turn to acrylics, ink, charcoal and graphite once in a while for a fresh approach. I really enjoy painting the human figure and portrait, as well as landscape, astronomy, and still life themes. I try to always include an abstract element in my paintings, and to capture the light and color with both subtlety and bravura. I have been on an artistic journey for all of my life, and have no plans to stop!
