About the Artist
Kathleen Arthur has been creating art for as long as she can remember. She began private art lessons at the Age of 6 and continued to study under Nationally known artists through college. After a rewarding career in the legal system, she began painting again. Since 2017, she has written and illustrated two children's books and one book for babies, but she is best known for her You Go, Girl collection of portraits born from the historical paper doll concept, which allows viewers to put themselves or a loved one in the portrait's place. About the Process
I grew up surrounded by artists, professional musicians, and entertainers who greatly influenced my creativity. Acrylic is my favorite medium to work with because it is easy to layer. When I am in the quiet and still space of my studio, I create in my mind's eye all the things I want to paint.
