About this Tour

There will be large wall installations; freestanding 7′ x 4′ mixed-media panels; large and small works on canvas, paper and wood; and works-in-progress. It might all be combined into a full-room installation. The elements (paper paintings) of the panel compositions will be for sale, to be replaced with new elements on the spot, so the panels will keep changing over the course of the weekend. Come watch them being created, and become part of the process!

About the Art

About the Process

I create artwork about the relationship between unseen forces and our lived reality. Discoveries in physics suggest a universe where the act of observation changes the nature of that which is observed; my works observe and map my view of this ever-changing dance of energy. The compositions draw on imagery from maps, physics, symbology and animism. I usually work in watermedia on paper I make from my own shredded trash. Some paintings I mount on wood panels; others become elements of large, sprawling wall installations. I compose the installations by pinning the painted papers to a cloth or paper over soundboard panels, and drawing between them with pastels, pencil, paint, thread and/or twine. These wall installations are often temporary; and I might change one several times before it is photographed, dismantled and the elements re-used in a new piece.
