About the Artist

I have been painting since kindergarten with stops and hiccups along the way. There was a detour documenting Philippine traditional back-tension textiles for almost 20 years. I guess I always knew I would return to painting. I paint in oil as well as acrylic. I seem to paint in series of threes: three paintings of the Salt River wild horses; three paintings of desert critters; three paintings of Tucson's downtown fountains. The size varies. I have done the series paintings on 11' x 14' canvas. Abstract paintings are on larger canvas.
I always seem to have two or three paintings to do and sometimes a painting comes out of nowhere!
