About the Artist

Nancy Scott Patton is a printmaker, papermaker, and book artist whose work has been exhibited in venues across the United States. Her print series Spiritual was acquired by the American Council on Education in Washington, D.C., reflecting the strength and resonance of her practice.

Nancy earned her BFA in Fiber from the Kansas City Art Institute (KCAI) in 1990. Following graduation, she served as an Admissions Coordinator at KCAI for six years, traveling nationwide to present the school's programs to high school and community college students.

She went on to earn her MFA in Printmaking from Washington University in St. Louis in 1998. During her time in St. Louis, she met her husband, photographer Tom Patton. Nancy taught Printmaking, Drawing, and Design at several colleges in the St. Louis area before relocating to Chico, California, in 2002. There, she continued teaching art at both California State University, Chico, and Butte College.

In 2024, Nancy and Tom moved to Tucson, Arizona, where she now devotes her time to her studio practice.
