About the Artist
My background: I grew up in the 60's and 70's in Venice and Santa Monica, CA. Started painting at 40 when i took an oil painting extension course through UCLA and i haven't put down the brush since then for any siginificant amount of time. Please come by! I would love to meet you. My home studio and back yard will have a lot of paintings, cards and prints available. There is parking in my front yard on the gravel. Four vehicles should be able to fit. Overflow may park out on Hawser St.

About the Process
I'm an indoor studio person - work mostly on an easel. For decades i've worked with oil paint but this last year I've really gone bonkers over oil pigment sticks (imagine painting with lipstick) along with the regular oil paint. Most of my landscape, skyscrape and ocean work is started with a very loose, vague composition and then all bets are off in terms of what it becomes. I redo A LOT.Explore Nearby Studios
