About the Artist

I am a mixed media fiber artist, living in Tucson, Arizona. I have earned a Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Art Education from the University of Arizona. My passion for fabrics and textures, led me to the development of my own distinctive form of 3-dimensional, fiber, wall sculptures. The textural compositions and impressionistic, patterning are rich in depth, created with multiple layers of beading and stitching embellishment. My distinctive technique takes the woven wall sculptures beyond craft into the realm of art. Living in downtown Tucson for 15 years I began using reclaimed materials collected from the streets to create a different body of work known as My Street Series. Many of these pieces will be on display during Open Studio By participating in many juried exhibitions, I built my reputation for fabric wall art. A feature article on my work was published in the February/March 2022 issue of the Phoenix Home and Garden. At that time my story was picked up by Tucson Channel 9 News and a special segment was aired on her work.
