My color palette asks for my work to be noticed. Not only this but my artwork always takes into account the site and context in which it lives. I make use of the shape of the walls, I create whimsy with imagery, and I consider the people who will be enjoying my work. Some of my pieces had community input, others had the input of the natural world and streetscape. Ultimately, I believe public art is meant to be enjoyed by the public. It should enhance the space it occupies and create a moment of enjoyment for those who walk by it, or those who seek it out. And I believe my work has something for everyone, with layers of meaning that don't need to be understood to enjoy the work. All I can hope for is to leave people thinking or to just brighten their day.
