We’re thrilled to be featured in KGUN9 for the incredible Sugar Hill mural along Stone Ave near Grant Road! This vibrant piece by artist Ndubisi Okoye and painting assistants Jessie and Allison Miller, celebrates the rich history of the Sugar Hill neighborhood, brought to life through the Thrive in the ’05 initiative.

Led by our amazing project manager Sadie Shaw, the mural stands as a testament to community collaboration and the power of public art.

This project is made possible by the City of Tucson’s Thrive in the 05 Initiative, the Arts Foundation for Tucson and Southern Arizona, and contributions from Sugar Hill residents—past and present.

I think that every neighborhood in Tucson should have public art that speaks to them, so I just hope that this brings about more public art that showcases the people of Tucson.
