| Timeline: | – October 28, 2026: Second scheduled meeting – August 19, 2026: First Chavez Deaccession Subcommittee convened to review and discuss the deaccession of the Cesar Chavez sculpture at the 5 Points Intersection. The Subcommittee requested a public hearing, information about creating a new artwork, and the inclusion of local historians to help frame the discussion. – May 13, 2026: A letter requesting artwork deaccession was introduced to the PACDC at the public meeting. |
