The Arts Foundation for Tucson and Southern Arizona (AFTSA) is excited to share that a total of $29,000 has been awarded to 40 artists in Southern Arizona through the Emergency Relief Fund for Arizona Artists and Arts Professionals so far. The Emergency Relief Fund, established by the Arizona Community Foundation, is a collaborative fund where several agencies pool monies together to supply emergency support for working artists, teaching artists, production personnel, and arts-based contract workers who have experienced cancelled events and residencies or terminated contracts as a result of the global coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic crisis. This fund is managed by the Arizona Commission on the Arts. The AFTSA gave $25,000 toward the first round of funds in support of Southern Arizona artists.
