Nancyplants Island
Our aim was to help the station blend with the festive colorful, atmosphere of 4th Avenue. Bold colors and biomorphic forms of flowers, cactus, bugs and fruits enliven the station with playful references to the desert and 4th Ave. eclectic culture.

Featuring dancings forms with dainty details, artists Peter Goldlust and Mary Lucking created a playful island working from components of the station, such as furniture and the platform itself. The artists used cut metal sheets to embellish the area with psychedelic cactus forms.
