We are thrilled to announce that the Arts Foundation is a recipient of the Creative Capacity Grant from the Arizona Commision on the Arts. We are proud to be among over 100 grant recipients representing Southern Arizona.
The Arizona Commission on the Arts approved more than $5 million in grant awards at its August 23 meeting. The grants provide core operating support to arts organizations, as well as critical funding to festivals and arts learning programs. The awards went to organizations all over the state and include organizations from very small to the largest arts institutions.
The grants were made possible in large part because of the one-time $5 million appropriation approved by the Legislature and signed by the Governor in May. Arizona Citizens for the Arts (AZCA) led the way to secure that $5 million.
