About the Process

References for this series are transparent images of precarious stacks of things found in thrift stores and estate sales. The mass of things fluctuates between the two scenes. Objects merge together, fall apart, transforming into a condensed mass of information.
The structures for my sculptures are based on precarious stacks of things found at estate sales and thrift stores. I start by creating this structure out of steel and then use each panel as a warp to weave found fabrics, plastic bags, newspapers, and other used materials into. Each panel becomes geologic through layers of these materials.
