Tucson native, Ashley Chamberlain has been building quality furniture and artwork for the past twenty five years. Her Southwest Desert style and the vibrant colors she chooses are what make each piece unique. With a bachelor's degree in set design, Ashley's gift for building and creating functional art made itself known when she was a student at the University of Arizona. Since graduating in 1992, she has built a successful business around her creations. Long before the Green Movement began, Ashley used recycled wood for her projects. Most of this wood once served as warehouse shelving. New wood contains more moisture, causing it to warp and crack as it dries; old wood is drier and less likely to split. Furthermore, older wood has a tighter grain and a rich patina that simply can't be manufactured. Several years ago Ashley began experimenting with her furniture painting techniques and brought new life to many of her old drawings. Since then she has created over 30 new paintings using the same vibrant style and technique.
