Community Is Nature’s Architecture

The artwork has groups of elements, or communities, much like the surrounding desert plants, the grouping of public buildings, and the people served by Clements Community Center itself. The concept is that community is a basic structure of nature, which includes people.

Acting as an entry marker, artist Robert Tully's sandstone masonry sculptures reference archeological sites, as well as pottery and basketry forms. The sculpture includes 5 wall segments placed throughout the space, acting as a guide for visitors.
