Windows to the Past

I feel strongly that these walls should be a celebration of the urban past of our community, an introduction to the joys of mingling which once was and will once more be a huge part of Downtown Tucson, a place which always has been, and always will be about PEOPLE. People working. People playing. People laughing. People shopping. People being themselves in the company of each other “ this is all of us; this is downtown.

Artist Stephen Farley used "tileography" to separate tones into multiple shades of gray to reveal greater detail in the photographs used in his large-scale murals. Farley chose photographs that acted as a celebration of the urban past of Tucson's downtown.
