We are thrilled to announce the addition of Ana Paula Monobe to our team as a Program Intern! Ana joins us through the prestigious Mellon-Fronteridades Undergraduate Internship Program at the Confluencenter for Creative Inquiry.

Ana Paula Monobe is a visual artist born and raised in northern Mexico. After moving to Tucson to pursue her BFA in Studio Art with a concentration in drawing and painting, she gained increased interest in the importance of cultural identity. Her creative practice draws inspiration from her multicultural experiences, language, and the continuous change of self-perception as she engages with the community around her. Ana Paula’s work explores fragmentation within social frameworks and depicts miscellaneous objects in the context of everyday life.

As a student, she has participated in exhibitions, research, volunteering at various galleries/museum settings, event planning and teaching through collaborative workshops. Now, as she approaches graduation (2024) she looks forward to applying her skills to work towards community representation, the accessibility of art in unrepresented spaces, and promoting a platform for cultural development as part of her professional practice.
