Inspiration came from patterns in nature and the beauty of this area. The various features were designed to integrate and blend with the surrounding landscape. The conceptual basis came from input and interactions with the community.

Working on already existing structures, artist Selina Littler enhanced the area with a variety of decorative additions. Littler created enhancements of bridge abutments, added decorative improvements on sidewalks , and fabricated an artistically designed rail. All elements incorporated into the design referenced the flora and fauna found on the mountain.
