Inversion

Stainless steel is a 20th century metal to be placed in an equally contemporary environment. A mirror bright finish, as I interpret the metal, makes the environment part of the sculpture.

Set on a rotating base, the highly polished, stainless steel, abstracted form by artist Dennis Jones directly reflects the environment around it. As the form is rotated monthly, it displays new shadows, lights and reflected imagery as relevant to its new position.
