Alyssa Vargas Art
Visual Artist/Painter
Tucson, Arizona, United States
My name is Alyssa Vargas, and I am a fine artist residing in the vibrant and beautiful city of Tucson, Arizona. I am passionate about the wildlife of the American Southwest, and therefore, the desert flora and fauna of Tucson serve as a great inspiration for my art.
I enjoy painting animals that are not usually seen as beautiful. I strongly believe in educating the public not to fear reptiles, amphibians, insects, arachnids, and other invertebrates. My art serves as a way to show these misunderstood animals in a positive light and eliminate subconscious bias about these animals. I am thankful for the rich biodiversity that Southern Arizona has to offer, and I hope that my art will make viewers consider their role in the conservation of these wonderful creatures.
I am a member of USARK - United States Association of Reptile Keepers and the Tucson Herpetological Society.
