Following the lives and fates of those who sailed on the ill-fated voyage in “Titanic: The Musical,” was presented by Arts Express Theatre April 21 – May 1 2022
Winner of five Tony awards including Best Musical and Best Score, “Titanic” is a musical masterpiece. Engaging and emotional, it tells the story of the inaugural—and final—sailing of the luxury liner through the realistic depiction of those who were onboard. With music and lyrics by Tony Award-winner Maury Yeston, the gripping, near operatic score is considered one of the finest composed for the Broadway stage.
“Titanic” was directed by Gene Abravaya, with music direction by Zach Wetzel and choreography by Shannon Dooling-Cain.
Arts Express Theatre at Park Place presented the oddball romantic comedy, “Guys and Dolls,” weekends July 14 – 24.
The Tony-award winning classic features songs that became iconic hits including, “Luck Be a Lady,” “A Bushell and a Peck,” and “Sue Me,” to name a few. Set in the down-and-dirty gambling world of New York in the late 1940s, craps afficionados Nathan Detroit and Sky Masterson take a gamble on love and redemption, surrounded by a wild bunch of gamblers and chorus girls.
The production was directed by veteran director Nancy Davis Booth, with music direction by Jenny Campman and choreography by Dominique Ruffalo.
