Hi I’m Eva Galaz. I’m a 17 yr old artist from the pascua Yaqui reservation. I work in multiple mediums. I sketch, do watercolor, and acrylic. I write poems/songs. I make jewelry also. I’m very passionate about my experiences and my culture, I strive to constantly fight against white supremacy and the effects colonialism has had on our people. I’m grateful for the opportunities I’ve had to share my work especially my word and to be able to connect with my community and have that shared passion. My goal is to spread awareness and positivity, working towards a self sustainable community, restoring the earth to its natural state. As an artist my symbols and words I send out are an embodiment of me and extension of my mind.

My mom had been asking for a painting with a hummingbird and rose, I went and got the supplies I needed and made it. I had enough money this time around and wanted to do something special. She loved it, I think it’s one of my best paintings.

These are a couple rings I’ve made. They’re just random, I’ll wear them or give them away.
