Joshua has been an active member of the Tucson graffiti and hip-hop scene since the early 1990s. He is the founder of APTK, a graffiti crew with over 25 members recognized internationally for their skillful, collaborative work. Joshua founded and organized the Tucson Hip Hop Convention that ran from 1995-1998 (not to be
confused with the Tucson Hip Hop Festival), which brought together spray can artists, DJs, hip-hop dancers, producers, and rappers to perform in conjunction with nationally recognized artists. During the early 2000s, he took a break from his art to raise his family and start a business. He is the founder and owner of Creative Science, a digital agency that focuses on the behavioral science side of how people interact with digital properties. The agency has worked with notable organizations like Planned Parenthood, the White House, World Wildlife Fund, and Doctors Without Borders, among others. Josh serves his community as a board member of the Tucson Skatepark Alliance and volunteers his time People's Defense Initiative helping with website direction, design, and campaign management. Joshua is a dreamer, organizer, and lover of pugs.
