Pen Macias is a Tucson-based artist who works under the name @TheDesertPen. Pen works in a variety of mediums but specializes in public artwork. Her clients include local restaurants, non-profits such as The Boys and Girls Club and Historic 4th Avenue Coalition, and municipal entities such as Town of Oro Valley.
Her work has been featured by Tucson Daily Star, Green Valley News, KGUN9, KVOA, and other media outlets. Pen is a native to Tucson and is inspired by any opportunity to make our beautiful community brighter.

Commissioned by the Town of Oro Valley, this mural celebrates the strengths and beauty in the beautiful town of Oro Valley. The themes of each letter were determined by the community: nature, golf, technology, biking, sunset, inter-generational families, hiking, and history.
